Some of the sites that are providing this solution are:

1. iPhoneSimFree - They charge $49.95

After paying the amount and installing the application provided by them on your phone you can get it unlocked just by sitting at your place.

2. iUnlock - They charge $100 and offer remote unlocking.

3. AnySIM - They offer free GUI based open source iPhone unlocking applications. Download here.

4. UniquePhones - They offer iPhone unlocking. Pricing is somewhere between $25 to $50.

5. iPhone Hardware Unlock Tutorial - Be cautioned, you need your best eyewear and a very steay hands to do this.

6. iPhoneNirvana is selling the unlocked iPhone in India for Rs 27,990 or $699 and charging $20 shipping and handeling. Total cost would be $719 which is way too expensive since the prices of 8GB iPhone dropped a week back to to $399 and open source unlocking application available. This is just way too expensive.

If you have some extra money, you can go ahead and pre-order it now.

All the unlocking applications/services (free or paid) currently do not offer any guarantees about the upcoming firmware updates. After updating your firmware your iPhone might not work with other SIM cards or in the unlocked mode.

Just saw this video. Some of the shots are amazing. I am sure it requires a lot of practice and patience. Only seasoned players can attempt these kinda shots.

Google launched their Gadget ads on September 17th, 2007 (out of beta testing).

Gadget Ads are more interactive ads system by Google. This new system would allow advertisers to use Flash content, applications, real time feeds and some transaction capabilities for the ads. If you are a Google Adsense publisher all you need to do is embed some code on your website and the adveriser will create their own widget to fill that space with the standard specifications provided by Google.

Pricing would be in terms of CPC or CPM. You can check the performace from your Google Analytics account.  Lets see, when advertisers start using this service and develop some interesting widgets. So far, it looks interesting, publishers can expect a better looking ads on their sites which are more interactive.

Today at 1730 IST, we will witness the greatest game ever.

India vs Pakistan

The traditional rivals will take it on to decide the winner of World Twenty 20 Championship. India, who started as underdogs played a superb games in the Super 8 stage defeating big names like South Africa, Australia, England. Earlier in the qualifier they defeated Pakistan in nail bitting tie and then winning 3-0 in football style sudden death.

There is not much to choose between the two sides right now, both have been playing good cricket. For India, Yuvraj and Dhoni hold the key in batting. Yuvraj has been hitting the ball all over the place in last couple of matches. Sehwag is facing a fitness test and him playing or not would be decided just before the game.

I will leave the office early today to catch the game. We might go into some pub to enjoy th 2nd innings. Will update with result later.

It was a cracker of match which went right down the wire. India won by 5 runs.
